OPS-Ingersoll Eagle 5-Axis Machining Centers | Authorized Dealer in Minnesota

Ingersoll 5 Axis eagle machine

OPS-Ingersoll is a Precision Machine Tool Builder - Precision Milling Machine - precision CNC machines

Iron Machine Tool is the authorized OPS-Ingersoll distributor for manufacturers across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. The Eagle series is OPS-Ingersoll's precision 5-axis vertical machining center lineup, built in Germany and engineered for manufacturers who require tight tolerances on graphite electrodes, hardened tool steels, and complex mold and die components.

Four Eagle configurations are available through Iron Machine Tool: the V550 and V9G for graphite electrode machining, and the V5C and V9C for coolant-based applications. Spindle speeds across the line range from 20,000 to 42,000 RPM. HSK tooling interfaces and ATC capacities from 30 to 211 positions accommodate a wide range of production environments.

OPS-Ingersoll is a German precision machine tool builder with more than five decades of focus on high-speed, high-accuracy machining. Their Eagle line is designed for manufacturing environments where electrode accuracy and surface finish consistency are non-negotiable production requirements.

What Sets the Eagle Line Apart

OPS-Ingersoll designed the Eagle series for manufacturers who cannot accept variability in electrode accuracy or cavity surface finish. Four machine attributes drive that consistency.

  • High-speed spindles. The Eagle line spans 20,000 RPM on the V9C to 42,000 RPM on the V550 and V5C. Higher spindle speeds allow finer chip loads on graphite and hardened steel, producing smoother surface finishes without increasing cycle time.
  • HSK tooling interface. The V550 and V5C use HSK-E40; the V9G uses HSK-E50. HSK is a self-locking, face-and-taper contact system that maintains rigidity at high spindle speeds. That rigidity translates directly to dimensional accuracy on fine electrode features and complex mold cavities.
  • Simultaneous 5-axis motion. All four Eagle models offer simultaneous 5-axis contouring. The tool follows compound surfaces, steep walls, and undercuts without repositioning the workpiece. For electrode producers, this means multi-face electrode geometry in one setup. For mold shops, it eliminates repositioning error on deep ribs and curved parting lines.
  • Automation-ready design. Robotic pallet loading and integrated automation cells are available across the Eagle line. If your shop runs lights-out or near-unmanned production, Eagle machining centers are built to support that workflow.

All four configurations are available through Iron Machine Tool for manufacturers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois.
